Any personal information provided to or gathered by Pure Jiujitsu Limited is controlled by Pure Jiujitsu Limited, whose registered office is at: Pure Jiujitsu Limited, Unit 2, The Rehearsal Rooms, Victoria Road, London, England, W3 6UL. Gymmaster (our member platform) and Stripe (our Payment processor) are third parties that hold some data related to payments and classes, which can be provided to you on request.
2) What Personal Information about Academy users does Pure Jiujitsu Limited Gather?
The information we gather from our Academy users helps us to continually improve your experience at Pure Jiujitsu. This personal information may include: your name and contact information; date of birth; preferred communication methods; address; and debit/credit card details. We also create information that becomes part of the personal information we hold about you, such as your membership number and your usage of the Academy. We may also collect and create details on joint members and other family members, where applicable, including family members under the age of 18.

Whilst we do not generally collect sensitive information unless it is volunteered by you, we do specifically collect health data to the extent that it is required to assess your readiness for physical exercise. When you use the www.purejiujitsu.com website (“Our Site”) or contact us by post, telephone, email or SMS, we collect, store and use certain personal information that you disclose to us. This includes details such as your name, address, telephone, email and mobile phone number as well as traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

3) What do we do with personal information collected from you?
We use personal information to provide the services you request from Pure Jiujitsu such as to facilitate: staff administration, administration of your membership at the Academy, facilitate bookings of classes and appointments with our own or third party service providers and other transactions. We may also use the information to: advertise products and services, to process payments and maintain accounts and records, to prevent crime and aid in the prosecution of offenders, and to administer and maintain membership records. In addition, we use this information to improve our platform, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf.
We also use your details to send you newsletters and promotions, and to conduct online surveys or surveys by telephone; prize draws; competitions and other promotions via email, telephone or post. We will also use the information in the course of collecting your membership fees and any other payments that may be due to us from you. If you apply for employment at Pure Jiujitsu, we use the personal information you supply to process your job application.
Other than as set out in this Privacy Policy we will not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or any other purposes without your consent, unless we are required to do so by law. We operate an automatic opt-in policy which means that when you request information from us on one of our Academy’s or make an enquiry we add you to our database.
4) What about Cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser and to automatically collect information from your computer such as your IP address and other details about your computer which are automatically collected by our web server, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. 5) Does Pure Jiujitsu Limited share the Information it receives?
Information about our Academy users is an important part of our business and we do not sell it to others. Pure Jiujitsu Limited shares member information only as described below and with the subsidiaries which Pure Jiujitsu Limited controls and which are either subject to this Privacy Policy or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Policy.
Third Party Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include collecting our Direct/Credit Card Payments (Gymmaster / Stripe), sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from member lists, analysing data, and providing marketing assistance. Third party service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as permitted by the UK's Data Protection Act 1998 (as amended).
Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy health Academy’s or subsidiaries or business units. In such transactions, member information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy (unless, of course, the member consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that Pure Jiujitsu or substantially all of its assets are acquired, personal information will of course be one of the transferred assets.
Protection of Pure Jiujitsu and others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our membership or other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of Pure Jiujitsu, our users or others. Our business changes constantly and our Privacy Policy will change also. We may email periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, unless you have instructed us not to, but you should check our website frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
